Mail Server Settings

When your hosting account is configured, your email configuration information will be included in the welcome email you receive. In case you happen to misplace those, this should help. For the purpose of this tutorial, we assume your domain name is http://yourdomain.com.  If your site is hosted by us, then your email configuration will be:

  • Incoming Mail Server: yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server: yourdomain.com (server requires authentication) port 25
  • Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
  • Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

In the alternative, if you want to use Port 465 (SSL), you should then use [hostname].gigalayer.com as your mail server. Open a support ticket if you do not know your [Hostname]. Your username/password would be set up by you from the 'Email Accounts' section in cPanel. This is accessible through http://yourdomain.com/cpanel.
