How to generate CSR in cPanel for SSL Certificate issuing

Follow these simple steps

  • Login to cPanel (yourdomain/cpanel)
  • Click SSL/TLS > Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.
  • Scroll down and fill the Generate a New Certificate Signing Request (CSR) form carefully.
  • Click the Generate button to generate the new CSR.
  • cPanel will now show you the Encoded CSR, copy it (please ignore the Decoded CSR, you do not need it)
  • GigaLayer or your SSL Provider will ask you for this CSR to generate an SSL Certificate for you.
Below is an example of what the CSR will look like:
